Miss Grand Bahama hosted their “Meet & Greet Cocktail Reception” at the beautiful Club Neptune, on Friday, 20th May, 2011. Besides the gorgeous scenery and ambiance, the room was filled with beauty from contestants, former beauty queens, members of the press and honorary sponsors.

The event allowed the judges, and others to see how well the ladies communicate, behave and basically how they are. Most importantly this event was made to allow the audience to encourage the contestants as they willingly take on a role that may possibly end up being the most challenging and rewarding one they encounter throughout their lifetime.

President of Miss Grand Bahama, Glenn Davis opened the floor with an overview of the history of Miss Grand Bahama Pageant. One of the stated goals for the contestants is to “be pageant minded.”

“Contrary to popular belief the judges of Miss Grand Bahama Pageant does not cheat.” Mr. Davis clarified this nasty rumor by ensuring everyone that the selected judges are also screened to filter bias.

Most local pageants aim for local exposure. On the other hand, the Miss Grand Bahama Pageant Committee aims for global exposure one that awards each winner with undeniable priceless experiences. That is why unlike most pageant queens; Miss Grand Bahama can travel to China, Columbia and other parts of the world!

This year’s event pays tribute to former Ms. Grand Bahama Beauty Queens. In attendance at the Meet & Greet were four former beauty queens including: Kerel Pinder and Nikie Severe. Current Miss Grand Bahama, Tempestt Stubbs interviewed the Contestants.
